Delete your ModelTV account

This is a translation of the French version, which prevails in case of difference.

This page explains how to delete your ModelTV account (Android, Android TV and Google TV app) and the data linked to it.

From the app (immediate)

Open ModelTV with the account to delete.
Go to Settings → Account & profiles.
Choose Delete my account, then Delete permanently.

Without the app

Write to contact@modeltv.app from the Google address used with ModelTV, with the subject “ModelTV account deletion”. The deletion is carried out within 30 days and you receive a confirmation.

Deleted data

The ModelTV account (identifier, e-mail address, name and photo taken from the Google account).
Synced profiles, favorites, watch history and progress.
Synced settings: appearance, playback, favorite channels, custom categories, recently watched channels, channel grouping rules.
Linked Trakt accounts: their access tokens are revoked and erased.
TV connections by QR code and any access granted to the account address.

Data kept

What is stored on your devices (playlists, library, settings) stays there. Uninstalling ModelTV erases it.
The pseudonymous identifier of each device (date of first launch, version), which is not stored with the account and is used for service information; it is erased two years after the device’s last contact.
A technical deletion marker (account identifier only), erased automatically within 48 hours.
What Trakt has already received stays on your Trakt account, which you manage on trakt.tv.
